Shalom Comunidad de Paz UCC serves the Latino community of Rockford. The congregation is Spanish speaking and reaches out to the both native born community members and those who are new to the United States. The church is united by the hope, faith and love that was given freely by the Lord Jesus Christ.
The church is named Shalom because their goal is to proclaim peace to the world. The word shalom is not only a greeting to the church, but a deep desire to express caring for their neighbors.
The church is located at 318 N. Church Street in Rockford. Worship services begin at 10 am on Sundays, followed by Children Classes at 10:20 and Fellowship at 11:30.
