Your Adult Education Committee is planning classes for the winter session which runs from January through April.

Wednesday Night Classes schedule:
Supper at 5:45 pm, Class at 6:30 pm
Classes begin February 17 and continue through March 23.

February 10: Ash Wednesday

February 17 – March 23: Faith Communities Response to Transform Rockford coordinated by Roger Greenlaw. This six week series will be presented by some of the leaders of the 14 working committees who are developing strategies to transform Rockford into a Top 25 City by 2025. Some of the speaker/discussion topics will be Education, Safety, Infrastructure, Youth & Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles. Mark you calendars and plan to join us for supper Wednesday nights at 5:45 prior to class at 6:30 pm.

March 30 – April 20: The Questions Jesus Asked led by Andy Newgren (Director of Theological Engagement)

Class at 9:00 am, Heritage Room

January 3: Open Mic conversation session

January 10 & January 24: Testament DVD series. We will be discussing Archaeology and the Bible. We will watch John Romer’s DVD series Testament – a documentation of the global journey to search for the roots of the Bible related to archaeological evidence.

January 31 : On the last Sunday of each month, we will begin a monthly series of discussions on the interaction of our personal faith and current events. This was the most requested topic in our recent Adult Education Survey. We will be using an article form The Wired Word as a starting point, selected and led each month by varying facilitators. Copies of the reading material will be available on this website prior to each class.

February 7: Open Mic conversation session

February 14 – March 20: Lenten Series Bible Study exploring The Questions of Jesus

April 3 – 27: Four week series
