Second First Christmas Handbell Concert – Vibrations Against Violence, a Christmas Concert for Peace

December 17 at 3:00pm
In the Church Sanctuary

A traditional handbell Christmas concert is a lovely thing to behold, but in light of all the pain, violence, and tumult plaguing the world, our nation, and our city, we felt it necessary to make this year’s concert more than just a pleasant musical diversion. Therefore, we present Vibrations Against Violence, a Christmas Concert for Peace. It promises to be a moving and uplifting experience.

We are excited to have the phenomenal Dorothy Paige-Turner joining the bill. She will be singing two wonderful solos. The Martin Ringers, Bellcanto Ringers and Angelus Ringers will be sharing an assortment of wonderful pieces. Even our little Peanut Ringers will be chiming in with a peace-themed song or two!

Please “save the date” for what will surely be an enjoyable and inspirational concert.

Admission is free and attendees will have the opportunity to make a donation to a local group working to reduce violence in our community by walking through some of Rockford’s most troubled neighborhoods and interacting with at-risk individuals.

We hope you will join us for this very special event.
